Breastfeeding is a natural process with numerous benefits for both mom and baby, but doesn’t always come naturally. Breastfeeding is a learned process in which mom and baby must work together. The Milky Way is committed to providing families with the support they need to be successful in achieving their personal breastfeeding goals.
The Milky Way offers a breastfeeding clinic at 7816 Hwy 69, Kountze, TX. Consultations are 1.5-2 hours and include a maternal and infant health history, assessment of latch and milk transfer, oral assessment for baby, and a personalized plan of care
The Milky Way offers lactation visits in the comfort of your home. Home visits take away the stress of packing and making it to the office at a specific time. Visits are available by appointment. Consultations are 1.5-2 hours and include a maternal and infant health history, assessment of latch and milk transfer, oral assessment for baby, and a personalized plan of care. Payment is due at the time of service, and I’ll provide you with a superbill for insurance reimbursement. A travel fee may apply for families outside of service area.
The Milky Way offers prenatal breastfeeding classes. This is one on one teaching about breastfeeding and what to expect. Great for the entire family. In office or In home.
The BabyWeigh II Scale provides accurate measurement of baby’s weight just before and just after breastfeeding. The difference between these two weights equals breast milk intake.
I began my career as a neonatal nurse is 2008. My passion for breastfeeding grew and I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2014. Helping families achieve their personal breastfeeding goals is my calling. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, the beach, and hiking.
